During the COVID-19 crisis THE CREATIVITY SPA is holding national art contests. We hope these contests offer a fun, at-home activity away from screens. It's our tiny way of trying to help at this uncertain time.
See below for contest schedule and rules. Happy Creating!
Incorporate any element of nature you find outside into a piece of art. Trace a leaf, paint a rock, or turn something natural into a stamp. Make a 3-D sculpture with sticks or a 2-D work on paper. Artwork must use at least one natural element that is either in the piece (literally in it) or that was used in actively making the piece. Looking at nature and drawing a likeness of it is not active making for the purpose of this contest. See rules below for more details.
We got requests to host a contest for adults as well children, so this round we are doing both.
Kids ages 5 - 17: prize is 80 piece Deluxe Art Set (above)
Amateur Adults ages 18 and up: prize to be determined!
(amateur adults = adults who have not sold their artwork)
Deadline is August 15, 2020 at 12 midnight EST
CONTEST THEME: SPRINGTIME
Open to agent 5 - 16
Prize: Faber-Castell Watercolor Pencil Art Kit
Two First place WINNERS (tie):
Ava Hodgman (11) of Hamilton, NJ
Ruby Bollinger (14) of Camano Island, WA
Contest are seasonal and themes will change; check to make sure you know the current theme, who is eligible for entry and the deadline date. Prizes will be mailed to the winners following the contest. Only one artwork entry per person for each contest.
Judging is based on more than just technical skill. With entrants spanning a wide age and ability range, the artwork that grabs us the most will be selected. It could be because of color combination, uniqueness, or first-impression wow-factor.
We reserve the right to share entered artwork on this website and other platforms. Our contests are in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with any company, other platform or product. Winner will be contacted by email and must be following The Creativity Spa on Instagram or Facebook.
